功能翻译理论视角下贵州高职院校网页中学校简介英译失误研究

摘要

自从2014年“国务院关于加快发展现代职业教育的决定”提出后，高等职业院校得到蓬勃发展，对外交流的力度和深度也随着增加。大多数高职院校建立了自己的官方网站，并开设了英文网页，以期加强对外交流。然而高职院校的英文网页中存在许多翻译问题，严重影响了学校的形象，并对其对外宣传起到了不利的影响。在过去的几年间，陆续有学者对于高校网页翻译进行了研究，但他们的研究对象大多集中在国内重点本科学校的网页，而有关高职院校网页的研究不多。作者希望通过对高职院校网页翻译的研究，达到丰富高校网页翻译问题研究的语料库和提高高职院校网页的翻译质量的目的。
　　本文拟采用功能主义的翻译理论对贵州省17所高职院校的英文网页中的学校简介的翻译问题进行分析，并以澳大利亚的职业技术教育学院和香港专业教育学院作为参考。高职院校的网页英译中的错误主要是：语用翻译失误、文化翻译失误、语言翻译失误和特定文本翻译失误。其中语用翻译失误是由译者目的意识不强和对原文本的错误理解造成。而译者能力不足会导致文化性错误和语言性错误。最后，作者基于以上的分析提出一些翻译的建议，如翻译之前确定翻译要旨和翻译目的，以及译者在平时注重对文化知识的积累和培养自己的翻译能力。作者希望通过对高职院校网页翻译失误的研究，引起有关部门和译者的重视，达到提高网页翻译质量的目的。
