《哈利·波特》系列小说中修辞手法的翻译

摘要

本文对《哈利·波特》系列小说中修辞手法的翻译进行了分析。修辞手法的翻译是翻译研究的重要课题。修辞格被广泛应用于各类文学作品中。修辞格的使用可以使形象鲜明，语言生动，并能激发读者的联想，增强作品的表现力。因此，对修辞手法翻译处理得当是十分重要的。译文如果不能正确表现原文的修辞法，就不能准确地表达原文的思想、精神和风格。即使传达了原文的大意，也会削弱其语言力量。近年来，《哈利·波特》系列小说十分流行。它吸引了各个年龄层的读者，他们对作者描绘的魔幻世界深深着迷。《哈利·波特》的成功吸引了一批学者进行一系列的研究，不过这些研究大多从神话、社会、宗教或者营销策略等角度着手，很少有人注意到文中所使用的修辞手法。实际上，该书作者在创作过程中使用了许多修辞格，比如明喻、暗喻、拟人、夸张、移就等。虽然这些修辞格都很常见，但是它们对《哈利·波特》的成功起到的作用不容小视。如果没有这些丰富的修辞手法，小说就会显得平淡且乏味，失去现在的魅力，也不会如此畅销。《哈利·波特》的中文版小说在图书市场上同样大获成功，这和成功的翻译是不无关系的。尤金·奈达提出了对等翻译，该理论的核心就是翻译对目标读者产生的效果要与原文对原文读者产生的效果相同或者尽可能的相近。本文从对等翻译的角度出发，比较了《哈利·波特》的两个中译本，最终得出了哪一个更符合对等翻译要求的结论。
