论英语语言教学中高中学生跨文化交际能力的培养

摘要

随着科技的飞速进步和社会的迅猛发展,世界正向全球化发展,也使得世界成为一个“地球村”。世界各国人民日益频繁的交往使得人们的全球意识日益增强,同时外语的使用也变得越来越广泛。这一切使得跨文化交际成为我们这个时代的一个突出特征。在交际的过程中,不同文化背景的人们避免不了文化差异的问题。英语是世界上使用最广泛的语言,人们要学会用英语进行交际,就必须了解西方国家的文化,以达到交际的顺利进行。因此,英语教学在进行英语语言教学的同时,更应重视学生跨文化意识和跨文化交际能力的培养。
　　 新的《高中英语课程标准》提出,文化意识,文化理解和跨文化交际能力已经作为英语基础教育的目标之一。针对这一形势,培养和提高学生的跨文化交际能力势在必行,但是首先必须了解他们跨文化交际能力的实际水平和状况,而当前高中学生跨文化交际能力究竟如何呢?作者对黑龙江省哈尔滨的120名高中学生进行了跨文化交际能力测试和问卷调查,同时还对15名高中英语教师进行了跨文化交际的问卷调查。结果表明,高中生的跨文化交际能力普遍较低,造成这一现象的因为:对西方文化知识了解的匮乏；受民族中心主义的影响；母语负迁移的影响。通过对学生和教师问卷调查结果表明,学生缺乏对中西文化差异的意识以及对文化差异的敏感度不够高;英语教师自身对跨文化交际的理解还有待提高；高中英语教育仍然以高考作为指挥棒,英语国家的文化知识在高考中少之又少,这就导致了老师和学生在英语教学中把注意力集中在英语语言知识的教与学上,忽视了西方文化知识的传授与学习。
　　 根据实证研究发现的问题,作者提出了培养和提高高中生跨文化交际能力的策略:提高高中英语教师的跨文化教学能力,跨文化教学的原则及一些可以实行的方法和建议。
