摘要

唐代是诗歌繁盛的时代。由于政治、文化、以及文学流派的影响,唐代叙事诗发展尤为繁荣,唐代叙事诗把人文性,纪实性,讽喻性融合在一起,具有很高的艺术价值并承载了重要的社会使命和思想内涵。唐代叙事诗自然就受到了幽内外的关注,所以唐代叙事诗的英译也尤为重要。
   诗歌中存在许多隐喻和转喻,近年来人们对于隐喻研究很多,但是不能否认转喻在唐代诗歌中的作用也很巨大。随着认知语言学的发展,认知语言学家们认为转喻不仅仅是修辞方式,更是一种心理机制,这一心理机制构成了人类许多概念形成的基础(张辉,卢卫中:2010)。认知语言学家莱考夫(1989)还认为:转喻是“理想化认知模式”的一种形式并且是在一个认知域内的概念映现。国内学者王寅(2007)和李福印(2008)等也对转喻进行了研究。直至目前,关于诗歌的认知语言学分析主要集中在欧美诗歌上,而对于汉诗的分析也主要集中在汉诗的隐喻分析上。
   本文试图从认知语言学的视角分析唐代叙事诗中的转喻英译,并应用认知语言学理想化认知模式,相对突显等知识对唐代叙事涛中转喻翻译给予分析评价,并选取了两首长诗作为案例,对比分析了转喻英译不同译本的得失,最后针对不同类型的转喻,提出适当的翻译策略。
