基于语料库的英语媒体新闻及物性分析

摘要

近年来，随着韩礼德的系统功能语法在社会科学领域的进一步应用，系统功能话语分析的目的不在乎描写和解构而越来越集中于参与和贡献，在乎通过话语分析对社会产生积极的影响。几十年来，及物性分析，作为韩礼德的系统功能中经验功能的重要语篇分析手段被不断地应用于各种语篇类型。在早期的新闻语篇研究中，及物性分析往往局限于对新闻标题和短句的分析。尽管一些语言研究者在一定程度上进行了及物性分析的实践，但新闻语篇的及物性分析需要进一步推广和拓展。本文即对因特网上有关传媒内容的新闻语篇进行及物性分析。 本文试图通过将语料库的定量分析应用于有关网上媒体报道方面的新闻语篇，揭示其及物性特征和各及物性类型的语用功能，尤其是对言语过程在新闻语篇中的显著特点进行了分析。通过对10篇选自英美报刊网站上的媒体新闻进行及物性类型的归类对比，使用SPSS的频度直方图，直观地揭示了新闻文体的及物性特征。本文研究指出：有四种过程类型有规律地出现在新闻语篇的特定位置，而每个过程的参与者又都是可以推断出的。随着深入分析，每种过程类型的语用功能也被揭示出来。为了保持新闻文体的客观性，言语过程多使用中性词，而褒贬含义的言语过程又阐释出新闻作者的意识形态倾向。 清楚地认识及物性类型是分析和解读新闻语篇隐含意义的一个重要步骤。一旦详细分析其及物性类型特征，该语篇在措词及意识形态等方面就显得清晰明了。也容易解释一些语言的选择有其目的与文体的需要。 本文作者希望英文报刊的读者能够通过阅读本文，提高对新闻语篇潜在观点的透视能力，提高对语言的认知能力，从而更深刻地理解新闻语篇。
