功能翻译理论观照下的儿童文学翻译——以《阿丽思漫游奇境记》中译本为例

摘要

本文在功能翻译理论框架内对《阿丽思漫游奇境记》的中译本进行研究，论证该理论对儿童文学翻译的适用性。功能翻译理论将翻译视为一项目的性交际活动，要求在翻译过程中，译者对于文本的看法和处理应受译文文本的预期功能所指导和支配。翻译的目的决定了译者采取何种翻译方法。决定翻译目的的最重要因素之一是受众即读者，译者在翻译时应考虑读者的文化背景知识、对译文的期待以及交际需求。儿童文学作为文学的一个主要分支，主要面向具有特殊心理特征和有限的阅读能力和文化理解能力的读者。
　　 本文主要从功能翻译理论核心目的论的三原则——目的原则、连贯原则和忠实原则来重点讨论该理论适用于儿童文学翻译，并选取《阿丽思漫游奇境记》的两个中译本——赵元任译本和陈复庵译本——为研究文本。原作者罗卡尔为了取悦三个小读者，在原文中运用了大量的幽默语言、文字游戏和修辞手法等实现娱乐的功能。基于不同的时代背景，译者不同知识储备和翻译目的，不同的译者在处理同一文本会采取不同翻译策略。赵元任先生的译本成形于五四时期，是白话试验的成功例子之一。陈复庵先生的译作创作于当代，主要把外国文化介绍给中国读者实现文化交流。
　　 本文对于《阿丽思漫游奇境记》中译本的案例分析，除了语言层面的分析外，还将研究扩大到文化层面。主要从专有名词翻译、修辞翻译和文化因素翻译三方面分析目的论三原则如何指导译者的翻译行为，不同的译者根据不同的翻译目的采取不同的翻译策略，论证同一原作允许出现不同译作的可能性。
