从纽马克翻译理论看硬新闻英译——以宜昌市新闻网翻译项目为例

摘要

随着全球一体化趋势的加强，中国经济的发展，新闻，尤其是硬新闻，已成为世界各国了解中国社会和文化的主要窗口。但是，对于如何有效译出汉语硬新闻，目前还无定论。因此，本文拟以作者参与的“宜昌市政府网英译项目”中2013.10-2014.6的硬新闻为素材，在纽马克交际翻译理论的指导下，以特色词汇和长句翻译为重点，探讨硬新闻有效英译的问题，以期对宜昌政府网及其他地方新闻网站硬新闻英译提供必要补充。文章将首先对此次的翻译项目做一个大概的介绍，然后对文本中的汉语硬新闻进行详细分析，接着以纽马克的翻译理论作为理论框架，利用文献综述和归纳总结法对理论进行阐述介绍，并对该理论在翻译中的应用进行个案研究，对比分析，继而归纳总结出解决问题的方法。
