评价理论视角下的美国说唱歌曲歌词研究

摘要

评价理论是作为系统功能语言学人际意义的扩展由马丁于二十世纪九十年代提出的。从问世之后，该理论已经被运用在各种文本的分析中，比如广告，新闻，演讲词等，旨在体现说话者或者作者的立场、观点和态度。
　　 说唱歌曲是美国流行音乐的一个重要分支，广泛的为美国以及世界各地的听众所喜爱和欣赏。说唱歌曲的歌词表达了说唱歌手的强烈情感，同时这些歌词也劝说听众按照说唱歌手所鼓励和提倡的方式去思考和行动。作为一种特殊的文本，在评价理论的框架下研究说唱歌曲的歌词具有较强的意义。
　　 该论文将运用评价理论作为理论框架来研究说唱歌曲歌词中的评价资源是如何实现的。本文作者收集了二十首美国说唱歌词语篇，并对其进行分析。通过对这些说唱歌曲歌词语篇的分析发现，说唱歌曲的歌词语篇中蕴含着大量的评价资源，并且这些评价资源的分布也具有一定的特点，不同主题的说唱歌曲对评价子系统的选择侧重都有所不同，比如黑帮说唱中，歌手对情感资源的使用比较多，而且这些资源大都是消极的资源，而在励志说唱歌词中，说唱歌手经常使用判断资源和鉴赏资源，歌词中的消极成分也相对比较少。说唱歌手使用这些评价资源竭力说服其听众。评价系统有三个子系统:态度，介入和级差。说唱歌曲的创作者充分使用这三种资源，以增强歌词的说服力。
　　 通过对所选文本的分析和研究，不仅丰富了马丁的评价系统，提高了这一理论的适用性和普遍性，而且证明了评价理论适于分析说唱歌曲歌词的语篇;另外，在一定程度上也加深了听众和读者对美国说唱歌词语篇的语言特征的了解，尤其是对词汇特征的了解。
