期望违背理论下言语交际有效性的研究

摘要

言语是人际交往的重要媒介。交际的有效性取决于交际双方是否获得有效的交际信息以及满足了对彼此的期待。当交际的一方没有满足对方的期待，就会产生期望违背。在跨文化交际中，尤其是在交际双方彼此不熟悉时，这样的违背则更容易产生。解决这类问题的办法就是全面而且准确的研究影响交际有效性的主要因素，并能提出一些合理化的解决方法或者建议。当今社会，任何一种关系的建立和维持都离不开交际，而交际是否有效也直接影响甚至决定人际关系是否能长久健康的发展下去。因此，系统的开展此类研究对丰富跨文化交际有效性的内涵以及提高跨文化交际有效性具有一定的理论意义和实践意义。
　　本项研究以Burgoon的期望违背理论为理论基础，运用观察法和案例分析法为主要研究方法。研究基于对某医院患者就诊时与医务人员的对话为材料来源。对患者和医务人员的交际特点，以及对期望的违背进行分析和总结。研究从以下三个方面进行分析。首先对跨文化交际有效性进行分析和总结，其次基于期望违背理论和医患之间的观察案例来分析期望在违背的情况下影响交际有效性的主要因素及其作用，最后在分析总结研究结果的基础上，对交际有效性提出建议，以提高跨文化交际能力。
　　研究发现在人际交往中，交际双方对彼此话语的期待以及如何理解这种期待，也就是对期待是满足还是违背，直接影响着交际有效性；交际双方的文化差异、社会经济地位的差异、受教育文化程度等因素都会影响交际有效性；基于此，作者提出了一些针对这几方面提升跨文化交际有效性的建议。
