《牛津文学英译史》第二卷（节选）翻译实践报告

摘要

史料文本记录了特定时期发生的历史事件，从历史的视角描述事件发生的前因后果，有利于读者进一步了解特定事件的背景。以文学翻译史为例，学者可通过文学翻译史来了解文学翻译的发展过程，以此来探讨文学翻译的起源和发展，以更好地开展今后的文学翻译研究。
　　本课题研究的是《牛津文学英译史》第二卷中的字典和评注的翻译史，常用词和隐喻的翻译史以及圣经的翻译史。字典和评注主要讲述了英国文艺复兴时期的作家们在进行文学创作和文学翻译的过程中借鉴的词典以及引用其他作家的评注。常用词和隐喻主要反映了文艺复兴时期人们对译者、作者和读者三者的关系的关注，也反映了翻译在英语文学领域中的地位逐渐得到认可。圣经的翻译史介绍了圣经的发展历程，也描述了不同圣经版本的异同。
　　文中出现少量早期现代英语和圣经典故。根据这些特点，笔者在对原文进行翻译时，以纽马克的语义翻译和交际翻译理论为指导，采用合理的翻译策略，运用多种翻译工具辅助翻译，查询了圣经的相关典故，对所译材料进行深入剖析，用举例子的方式说明语义翻译和交际翻译的区别与应用。尽可能做到再现原文的信息和行文风格，更好地再现字典翻译、常用词额隐喻的翻译以及圣经的翻译发展史。希望对后来的学者研究此类文献提供参照。
