Translation of Zero Message from the Perspective of the Information Theory-A Study on the English Translation of Cultural Revolution Terms in the Novel Banished

摘要

翻译是一种跨语言，跨文化的信息传递过程，其本质是信息的传递与交流。而信息论则是对信息处理方式以及传递过程的研究。零位信息是信息理论中的一个重要概念，其形成与信息传播过程中的其他因素息息相关，如信息难度，信道容量，传输负载，冗余，噪声等。从翻译实践活动本身来讲，这一过程还受到译者，译文读者，语境，文化等因素的影响。正是这些因素的存在使信息的传递具有可变性。因此，翻译是信息系统在语际间的传递，信息的特性给翻译过程中信息的转换提供依据。
　　 《扎根》是中国当代文学作品中颇具影响力的一部小说，具有研究价值。本文从信息论的角度，结合《扎根》英译本中文革特色词语的英译，具体分析了影响零位信息翻译的因素，探讨了零位信息翻译的原则与方法，对中国文学作品的翻译理论与实践研究具有启发意义。
　　 通过实践，本文得出以下结论。信息论的基本原理不仅仅适用于非文学文本的翻译，也适用于解释和研究文学文本翻译过程。翻译过程是对源语信息的解码和编码的过程，译者对零位信息的处理要保证译文的整体信息起到和原文文本的整体信息相同的作用。也就是说，译者应充分考虑到影响信息传输的因素，保证信息传输的通畅。在翻译实践过程中，译者应在遵循翻译原则的基础上通过增删，替换，模仿，阐释等翻译方法和策略来平衡传输负载，实现信息的有效传递，帮助目的语读者更好地理解和接受信息。
