Physical education is a bilateral activity of the teaching and learning with strong practicality and participation. At present, the resources on the network are fewer than those of other disciplines, and there is a lack of systematicness and integrity. For the physical education and teaching, the demonstration and the imitation of actions are very suitable to be presented in the form of the multimedia contents. Therefore, in this context, based on the mature campus network of colleges and universities, and based on the Internet technology, the computer technology, the multimedia technology and the modern communication technology, it is very necessary to design and develop a long-distance network educational system and platform for physical education.
