Studies on Technology for Producing High Active Dietary Fiber from Sargassum

This article is about research on technological conditions of extraction of high active dietary fiber from sargassum. The best technological conditions for extraction of alkali soluble dietary fiber and insoluble dietary fiber from sargassum have been screened by orthogonal design method. So have been done for bleaching dietary fiber, and composing again of alkali soluble diteary fiber and insolouble dietary fiber extracted from sargassum. The results showed that total yield of high active sargassum dietary fiber was 27.9%, and the color of dietary fiber was nearly white. The contents of total dietary fiber, calcium and phosphorus were 81.08%, 6.82% and 0.23% respectively, and the expansive capacity and water holding capacity were 22ml/g and 1250% respectively. The quality and functional targets exceeded greatly the standards of western nations.
