摘要

This paper examines the links between the concepts of organizational learning and knowledge management, by using institutional theory to explain the knowledge management process. Knowledge management theory suggests that change results from some complex and rather sophisticated rational choices. Institutional theory suggests that change has substantial irrational elements. The paper suggests that coercive and voluntary isomorphism can interact with both explicit and tacit knowledge to affect change. It also lays out step-wise processes for implementing an organization-wide learning-based change program.
