Environmental Issues in Industry: Concepts and Case Study

摘要

Industrial production is one of the main pollution sources. Modern technology design facilitates the development of "Clean-Technologies". A shift towards this new paradigm in production in general is needed. Information and communicationtechnologies allow an appropriate information management which supports the integration of such ecological criteria into managerial decision-making. In this report, a case study describes the application of such environment-oriented informationmanagement: the clustering of production sites as a sustainable network of modern industrial production and services.
