Coastal engineering design codes and technology transfer in the Netherlands

摘要

Dutch research strategy on water defences and the resulting coastal and hydraulic engineering design codes (technical documents) are briefly overviewed. Special attention is paid to organizational and managerial aspects of research and preparation of technical codes, and to national and international transfer of know-how/technology.
