Research on Creation Architecture of Opera Cartoons

As the traditional culture is declining gradually nowadays, it is an issue that needs to be addressed urgently to preserve its inherent essence and transform its external forms to be better adapted to the demands under the context of times. Cartoons are a form of creation popular among the youth of today and are in an ascendant in the digital era. How can we transform the forms of traditional culture with the aid of development and advantages of cartoons to spread the traditional culture in the forms that are better adapted to the times? Taking Chinese traditional operas as an example, the research attempts to blend opera elements into the creation of cartoons and mine the culture and aesthetics of Chinese traditional operas by analyzing and extracting opera elements. Opera cartoons are created by applying the expressive forms of cartoons such as modeling, lines and colors and the concepts of Eastern painting such as form, spirit and freehand to analyze and explore the creation concepts, techniques of expressions and creation methods of opera cartoons. Taking cognitive pattern as its theoretical foundation, this paper attempts to explore the coding process of the creation methods of opera cartoons through rational cognition and perceptual aesthetic experience and study how the decoding process of the audience to see how they interpret the thoughts of the author and understand the essence of creation. The main purpose of this paper is to establish a model for the creation and evaluation of cartoons based on the ideas 'reflecting form with form', 'reflecting spirit with form', 'reflecting the conception with spirit' and 'expressing conception and neglecting form'. Hopefully this research is referential to the innovation of the ways to spread traditional culture and provides references to the field of cartoon creation.
