Magnetic tape foreign language teaching aid consists of a recording on a support having two channels, each channel having a succession of recorded and non- recorded bands. The recorded bands are located alternately on either of the two channels in the sense of advancement of the recording. The distance separating a recorded band on the first channel from the band recorded on the second channel, corresponds to the normal reading speed of the recording and to the reaction time of an average person to auditive stinulus in his mother tongue. The recorded bands on the first channel are split into two distinct zones, this recording being complementary to a recording band arranged on the second channel with respect to the recording on the first.
