The electrostato-graphic imaging process comprising the steps of providing anelectrostatographic imaging member having a recording surface,forming an electrostatic latent image on said recording surface,and contacting said electrostatic latent image with a developermixture comprising finely-divided toner particles electrostaticallyclinging to the surface of classified high surface area carriermaterials having a specific surface area of at least about 150cm2/gram, a particle size volume distribution geometric standarddeviation of less than about 1.3, and a particle size distributionwherein the carrier particles have an average particle diameter ofless than about 100 microns, whereby at least a portion of saidfinely divided toner particles are attracted to and depositedon said recording surface in conformance with said electrostaticlatent image.
