The hanger conveyor rail junction has two rail sections diverging and pivoting together through a half-revolution. One is joined at the end furthest from the junction point to the base of an arch-piece extending round the other and transmitting the pivoting movement. The rails are supported on a plate (30) tilting about the axis (36) of the rail at the junction point, one being secured (32, 34) to each of its opposite faces, and each with a rectangular foot. The foot (50) of the arch-piece is secured to the face of the plate opposite the first rail section (32).
