The scaffolding gaug plank is made up from wooden ladders with boards laid on rungs. The end is secured by a bar inserted through rung holes. A stop (24) is fixed on the bar (22), at an interval (D) from one end corresponding to the ladder stringer (12, 14) thickness. A threaded section (26) between the stop and end has a nut (28) screwed onto it after insertion of the bar between the stringers. One stringer is clamped between the stop and nut, while a rung hole in the opposite one is penetrated by the bar's other end.
