The device is for fixing bars to door profiles, and/or ornamental fittings to bars, made as U-shaped hollow sections open on one side, with a lengthways rib on the inside of the shanks, and has a bolt with a thread engaging the hollow section and locked in position there. The bolt (2) has a conically widened section (8) extending from the end of the thread (9). The thread carries a nut (10), with a projection (11) for support on the ribs (15, 16), protruding towards the conical section, and deflectable from it when the bolt is turned in. There may be several such projections, shaped as segments of a lengthways slotted tube section.
