Microprocessor data processing system - has automatic shifter activated by timing signal independent of microprocessor timing signal

The data processing system has a central unit (1), a data memory (2) and an input and output control unit (1). The central processing unit consists of a microprocessor and the control unit is microprogrammed memory (4). The system uses an automatic shifter (7) activated by a timing signal independent of the timing signal which activates the microprocessor. The automatic shifter (7) has a shift detector which communicates with the systems control circuit. The shifter has also a shift circuit (9) whose control input connects with the shift detector. A circuit (10) supplying the timing signal from the shift circuit connects with the control circuit of the processor.
