This invention relates to six- wheeled power-driven vehicles and to gear boxes for such vehicles. In a first embodiment of the invention, the gear boxes 1, 6 enable the engine to be coupled to the wheels of the vehicle in any of the following four possible ways:- 1) drive solely to the front wheels 21; 2) differential drive to all wheels 21, 22, 23; 3) direct drive to the front and intermediate wheels 21, 22 through respective differentials; and 4) direct drive to all six wheels 21, 22, 23 through respective differentials. In a second embodiment of the invention, the third mode of operation provides direct drive to the front and rear wheels instead of to the front and intermediate wheels. IMAGE
