A ventilation device for rooms with two separate flow paths (32 and 33) for simultaneous aeration and deaeration is designed in such a manner that it extracts from the outgoing-air flow (AB) the heat energy inherent in it and transmits it to the outside-air flow (AU). In this case, it makes possible with low technical outlay a considerably improved multiple use of the enthalpy of the outgoing-air flow (AB) leaving the room and correspondingly a greater heat recovery. At the same time, however, it is also ensured that the radial blower (13) which serves for conveying air in both flow paths (32 and 33) has practically corresponding conveying capacities for both flow paths (32 and 33).
