The use of interpenetrating spirals, joined by a rod or strip, for producing continuous belts, is combined with the use of cylinders having rows of pegs which are offset to the right and to the left, to receive the alternate spiral formations of the belt. In either intermittent or continuous rotation, the belt is moved without wear or deterioration, with a consequent improvement in running costs over the pin stenter type of drive. Used as conveyor belts, replacements for paper felts, filter belts and etc.
