The invention in question concerns a procedure and element (2, 12) for effecting a heat and water isolating transition between a foundation (9, 19) and the limiting exterior sides of same.Whilst the invention ensures a simple and quick procedure for effectively producing a heat and water isolated transition by the fact that the element functions as a mould during casting, as well as the fact that it is water and heat insulating in both vertical and horizontal directions and is also load-supporting.The procedure is characterized by the fact that the form element (2, 12), which consists of an insulating and watertight material, contains at least one side element plate (4, 13, 14) which projects from the base part (4, 15) and is integrated with it. The form element is set up on a surface (1, 16) along the desired length of the foundation where after the cast compound (9, 19) for the foundation is introduced on that side of the element which faces away from said elements exterior.IMAGE
