摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a nylon fiber cord having excellent adhesivity to acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber by treating a nylon fiber with an adhesive composition compounded with a specific essential component at a specific weight ratio. CONSTITUTION: A nylon fiber cord is treated with an adhesive composition produced by compounding (A) a liquid mixture of a resorcinol-formaldehyde precondensate having a resorcinol/formaldehyde compounding molar ratio 1/(0.8-1.5) and a rubber latex containing an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber latex or carboxyl-modified acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber latex at a weight ratio of 5/500 to 15/100 in solid basis with (B) a halogenated phenol-resorcinol- formaldehyde precondensate at a solid weight ratio B/(A+B) of 0.2-0.7, preferably 0.3-0.6 and the treated cord is heat-treated to increase the adhesivity to acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and remarkably improve the durability.
