PURPOSE:To obtain a water-vapor permeable waterproofing cloth having excellent wear-resistant performance by coating a fiber cloth a resin solution comprising a specific hydrophilic resin, drying and heat-treating the cloth. CONSTITUTION:A woven or knit fabric comprising synthetic fiber, semisynthetic fiber or fiber of mixed spinning of synthetic fiber/cotton is coated with a resin solution consisting of a hydrophilic polyurethane resin or a mixed resin of the resin and a hydrophilic polyamino acid urethane resin, an isocyanate (to improve peeling resistance), a hydrophobic organic solvent, a hydrophilic organic solvent and water (e.g., dioxane/methyl ethyl ketone/toluene/water), dried and heat-treated and a porous membrane is made to give a water-vapor permeable waterproofing cloth having =7,000g/m2 24 hours water vapor permeability.
