PURPOSE: To improve workability when a layered water injection type battery is manufactured, and improve a discharge characteristic. ;CONSTITUTION: A peripheral wall 94 is provided, and positive electrode plates 1 or negative electrode plates 3 are loaded on upper space 92 and lower space 93 of trays 9 partitioned by partition plates 91, and a unit is formed. Layers are formed by fitting a recessed part 95 or a projecting par t 96 formed in the upper part and the part of the peripheral wall 94 to each other, and the peripheral wall 94 of the layered unit is fused. Thereby, since the layers can be made by fitting the recessed part and the projecting part to each other, workability can be improved when a battery is manufactured, so that a discharge characteristic can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
