DEFECT DETECTOR BASED ON IMAGE RECOGNITION

摘要

PURPOSE: To realize highly accurate high speed recognition of defect such as crack or blowhole by projecting features of recognition object, i.e., a defective region, onto a radial frame and determining the border of defective region based on the projection. ;CONSTITUTION: A defective part is photographed on an X-ray film 1 which is eventually developed through an automatic developing unit 2 and the developed X-ray film 4 is mounted on a background light generator 30 which scans background light for taking the image on the film in the form of image signal and laser beam for determining film density. The generator 30 constitutes an image input means along with an ITV camera and a densitometer. An image quality decision unit 5 determines maximum and minimum density positions of the developed X-ray film 4 and the image density of a gradation meter depending on the beam diameter, scanning speed, and the like of a laser beam received by the densitometer. An image on the film 4, picture quality thereof is decided to be appropriate, is fed to an image recognizing unit 6 where the image of defect in the received image is determined and extracted using a radial frame based on radial projection.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
