VEHICLE HOOD SHIELD AND METHOD OF MOUNTING THEREOF

An improved shield which is readily attached ordetached at the forward edge portion of a hood of a vehicle.The shield has a longitudinal member of flexible materiallaterally extending across the front edge of the hood. Thelongitudinal member has an upper section adapted to engagethe upper surface of the hood and a lower section adapted toengage the underside of the hood. The longitudinal memberfurther has a linking section linking the upper and lowersections and shaped to apply a spring force to the vehiclehood so that the vehicle hood is resiliently clamped betweenthe upper and lower sections of the shield by the springforce.
