The magnetic field sensor has a sensor element which is arranged in housing which is made of a non-magnetic material. A non-metal shielding portion is provided on a metallic carrier element (11) facing a side of the housing. The housing is shielded by the non-metal shielding portion, by interference of the carrier element to the sensor element. A non-metallic fixing element is arranged on the carrier element facing side of the non-metal shielding portion. The sensor is attached on the carrier element, by the non-metallic fixing element.
