PURPOSE: To dry industrial parts having been cleaned with solvent efficiently and safely by a method wherein after hot-air heating of a storage vessel is stopped, the pressure in the vessel is reduced by means of a vacuum generator in communication with an exhaust pipe to vaporize remaining solvent and solvent gas is condensed and recovered using a cooling device. ;CONSTITUTION: Hot air blown into a storage vessel 2 heats an item A to be dried and is then led together with solvent gas having been vaporized into an exhaust pipe 10 so that the solvent gas is cooled and condensed by a cooling device 11 and recovered. After a first process, a first open/closure valve 25 is closed to close an air flow port 15 of the vessel 2 and a second open/closure valve 41 of an air venting pipe 12 is closed to block an atmospheric communication state, and a third open/closure valve 42 is opened and a vacuum generator 13 is actuated to reduce the pressure in the vessel 2, thereby performing a second process. Even in this case, the solvent gas is cooled and condensed by the cooling device 11 and recovered.
