CONSTITUTION:A batch type vacuum drying is carried out by a batch type vacuum dryer comprising a main body 3 provided with a heating jacket 1 and a stirrer 2 for uniform mixing and a vacuum device provided with a vacuum pump 4 for sucking evaporated moisture and putting the interior of the main body 3 in a state of a negative pressure and a condenser 5 for condensing evaporated moisture sucked. Accordingly, by feeding continuously or intermittently substances to be treated while the interior of the main body 3 is being kept in the vacuum state and by controlling the feed rate of the substances to be treated while a quantity of exchange heat in the condenser 5 in the vacuum device is being metered, the feed quantity of the substances is controlled so that a quantity of the substances held in the main body 3 is maintained in an optimum state.
