PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply position aligning apparatus which is capable of assuring the permissible range of a set position for flower and ornamental plants, etc., as wide as possible at the time an operator places the flower and ornamental plants, etc., on a supply conveyor of a flower and ornamental plant sorter, etc., and automatically and exactly adjusting the front ends of the flower and ornamental plants, etc., to the reference position without damaging the flower and ornamental plants, etc., even if the deviation of the set position from the reference position is large, thereby making it possible to drastically lessen the attentiveness and labor of the operator and a flower and ornamental plant sorter equipped with such supply position aligning apparatus. ;SOLUTION: This apparatus has a flower contact member 20 which is disposed along the transporting surface side of the conveyor and is so supported as to intersect inward with the transporting direction toward the downstream side from the upstream side in the transportation direction A and a drive means 4 which moves this flower contact member 20 back and forth within a planed distance range so as to have a movement component perpendicular to the transportation direction.
