PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain electrically conductive composite ceramics excellent in mechanical strength at room temp., electric conductivity and heat conductivity by incorporating TiB2, TiC, hexagonal BN (h-BN) and AlN in a specified ratio and allowing a specified part of the AlN in the form of whiskers. ;SOLUTION: This electrically conductive composite ceramics has a compsn. contg., by weight, 20-30% TiB2, 1-10% TiC, 5-10% h-BN and 40-60% AlN and 5-10% of the AlN exists in the form of whiskers. This ceramics is obtd. by mixing 20-30% TiB2, 40-60% AlN and 1-10% TiC with 0-5% Al2O3, 1-5% metal Al and 1-5% metal B, compacting the resultant mixture by cold uniaxial pressing and cold isostatic pressing under 10-20 MPa and firing the resultant compact at 1,500-2,300°C in an atmosphere of nitrogen.
