Wound dressings comprising a film of collagen fibres shaped to fit human or animal extremities are new, where the fibres comprise insoluble partially modified collagen with an amide N content of 0.18-0.4 mmole/g, a glucosamine content below 5 micromole/g, a galactosamine content below 5 micromole/g, a shrink temp. of 45-60 deg C and an isoelectric point of 4.3-6.
