PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag module for vehicle steering wheel having a gas generator equipped with an igniter, a folded gas bag, an assembly plate, a housing with a mid-cover, an outer cover cap which visual- and tactile-meets the environment of the steering wheel, and a horn switch foil operating by the pressure given by the outer cover cap. SOLUTION: Flat operating elements 8 are provided between a horn switch foil 7 and an outer cover cap 6 at prescribed constant intervals from the horn foil 7. Range spacers 9 in a form such as pin and web are formed between the operating elements 8 and the outer cover cap 6, thereby providing a roughly constant clearance at least over the whole operating range of the outer cover cap between the operating elements 8 and the outer cover cap 6.
