PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module cover structural unit equipped with a horn switch which can be easily built in an air bag module, and also can be easily removed for repair and replacement. ;SOLUTION: The module cover, 16 of the structural unit is formed out of a thermoplastic switch cover panel 20 capable of being pressed and deformed from the outside, a horn switch 12 to be received in the vicinity of a panel inner surface, and of a spacer which is projected out of the panel inner surface, is extended in such a way that the panel inner surface is substantially enclosed, and is reserved in the circumference in a state that the switch 12 is disposed inside. In addition, the structural unit also contains the spacer thus as mentioned above, the height of which is larger than the thickness of the switch, a thermoplastic switch back surface plate 14 which is supported by the spacer, and is extended so as to be reserved therein in such a way that the switch 12 inside the spacer is covered, and a connecting element interposed between the spacer and the back surface plate as a conductor and a thermoplastic connecting element 60 where the back surface plate is secured to the module cover 16 by fusion bonding the connecting element.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
