EXAMINATION METHOD OF INSIDE WALL OF STEEL PIPE FOR STEEL PIPE TOWER WITH A FITTING OF PIPE END AND EXAMINATION DEVICE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination method measuring film thickness of an inside wall, (i.e., thickness of inside plating and painting) of a member without removing the member from a steel pipe tower assembling a steel pipe member having a fitting at an end part of the member, and an examination device using the examination. ;SOLUTION: In a steel pipe tower assembling a steel pipe member having a fitting at an end part of the member, firstly support mechanisms A, C and a measuring part B of an examination device are separated to insert from a gap of the end part of the member. Secondarily, the examination device assembled at an entrance of the pipe is moved by external operation with holding it at the central part of the pipe. Then, film thickness, (i.e., thickness of inside plating and painting) is measured by pressing a probe placed at the examination device to an inside wall G of the pipe at any position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
