PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing germination and formation of an arboreous plant in slope tail part and provide a slope greening technique in which germination and formation of the arboreous plant are incorporated. SOLUTION: This method for suppressing germination and forming of an arboreous plant comprises creating grass plant colony onto slope tail part necessary to suppress germination and formation of the arboreous plant or planting a hanging type ground cover plant in the boundary part between the slope tail part and an arboreous plantintroducing place on upper side than the slope tail part. In slope greening technique creating arboreous plant colony on the slope by sowing, planting for creating arboreous plant colony is executed onto the slope excluding the slope tail part to suppress germination and formation of the arboreous plant and then, a method for suppressing germination and formation of the arboreous plant is executed onto the slope tail part.
