The invention relates to a blower (17) with a housing (18) containing a housing space (22) which accommodates the blower wheel (23) and a drive motor (35) which drives said blower wheel. The motor is arranged in an accommodating space (32) which is at least shielded from electric connections. The accommodating space for the drive motor (35) is arranged outside the housing space which accommodates the blower wheel and is fastened on the housing.
