The fan (1) has a fixed frame (2) surrounding a rotary fan wheel (3), where the fan wheel comprises fan blades (4), which are enclosed by a fan cladding (5). The fan cladding forms a gap (6) with the frame. A secondary fan i.e. auxiliary fan, is a component of the fan wheel to inhibit a back flow of air (L) promoted by the fan wheel. The secondary fan is positioned over periphery of the fan cladding. Secondary fan shovels (8) are curved or bent against a radial plane of the fan cladding. The secondary fan shovels are arranged at unequal intervals about circumference of the fan cladding.
