COLLECTION DEVICE FOR SINGLE STEP ASSAY OF ORAL FLUIDS

An apparatus and method for testing oral fluids uses a housing (H) containing a chromatographic strip (C) connected to a capillary matrix (W) which extends from the housing for contact with oral fluids. An optional blocking pad (B) can be provided between the strip (C) and the matrix (W). Fluid is taken up by the matrix (W) and transferred to the strip (C) where it reacts with reagents in indicator zones (20) for visual observation through view ports (18).
