FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring photocurrent in ischemia and progressive reactive hyperemia cases. Photocurrent change intensity is calculated in injured arm ischemia and reactive hyperemia cases with respect to the intact one as per cent values. The per cent value being higher or lower than some reference value, increased or reduced regional blood circulation is diagnosed in the cases of ischemia and reactive hyperemia.
