PURPOSE: A method for preparing 2-aminothiazole carboxamide derivatives is provided which is economical compared with conventional methods and by which title compounds with high purity can be obtained in high yields. CONSTITUTION: 2-aminothiazole carboxamide derivatives of formula 1 are obtained by reacting a compound of formula 2 with a compound of formula 3 in the presence of a base such as an organic base selected from the group consisting of triethylamine, tributylamine, diisopropylethylamine, N,N-dimethylaniline, pyridine and 4-methylaminopyridine or an inorganic base selected from the group consisting of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate, sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium hydride and potassium hydride in a solvent such as alcohol, aromatic hydrocarbon, ether, ketone, nitryl, hydrocarbon halide, ester or polar solvent, wherein R1 is C1-5 straight or branched alkyl, C1-6 haloalkyl or C3-6 cycloalkyl; R2 is C1-3 alkyl or C1-3 haloalkyl; R3 is phenyl which is 1-5 substituted or nonsubstituted by chloride, methoxy, ethoxy, phenoxy or nitro group, respectively; and Y is chloride or bromide.
