Method for detecting compounds (I) with antihyperlipemic activity by adding a test compound (A) to a system that contains at least one polypeptide (II) having either a 360 amino acid (aa) sequence (S1; murine) or a 387 aa sequence (S2; human) as defined in the specification, or their biologically active derivatives. An Independent claim is also included for a kit for detecting (I) that includes the new system.
