PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To richly express a chat sentence with various kinds of images.;SOLUTION: A component image table 42 is configured as a correspondence table between component images and control codes to be added to chat sentences, and a component voice table 43 is configured as a correspondence table between component voices and control codes for expressing the chat sentence with sounds. A portable telephone 1 which transmits the chat sentence acquires the control codes corresponding to the respective component images and the respective component voices designated by a transmitter from the correspondence table, adds the control codes to the chat sentence, and transmits the chat sentence with the added control codes to the other party of chat.
