PURPOSE: Provided are a method for forming a patterned conductive film having an improvement in quality on a substrate, regardless of a substrate material, an electro-optical device having the patterned conductive film, and an electronic appliance comprising the electro-optical device. CONSTITUTION: The method for forming a patterned conductive film comprises the first material arrangement process(S1) of applying a functional liquid containing a photothermal conversion material onto a substrate; the first intermediate dryness process(S2) of drying the photothermal conversion material on the substrate to form a photothermal conversion layer; the second material arrangement process(S3) of applying a functional liquid containing a conductive material onto the dried photothermal conversion layer; the second intermediate dryness process(S4) of drying the conductive material on the substrate to form a conductive layer; and the firing process(S5) of irradiating the substrate with light and firing at least part of the conductive layer(1) using the photothermal conversion material.
